The Diaper Chronicles Redux

Hi all. This is "Honey." As I read this post, I was reminded of my good friend Robin - yes, of the Batman and Robin - who often exclaims, "holy embellishment!" when chatting with the Caped Crusader during evening storytime (I have it on good faith, Mr. Wayne likes to stretch things a bit) As we often find when listening to the political debates on NPR or when watching an agency head squirm in front of a congressional subcommittee on CSPAN, there are many facts in this case that are, shall we say, conveniently omitted and in the name of truth, justice and, and the biodegradable diaper way, must be treated as revisionist history.

So, good readers, beware! This diaper tale is tainted...selectively memorialized...and smells of...ummm...nasty nappies! Do not be fooled by the "mommy to the rescue" ploy!! Do not be hornswoggled by the "desperate daddy" rouse!!

I'm tellin' ya, this was a dookie-up-to-the-shoulder-blades, sliding down the pant legs, what did he eat again?! incident and there ain't nobody alive that coulda changed that poor kid solo without getting covered by a nice granache themselves. Some would like you to think so (ahem), but no siree, nu-uh, no dice. And with the start of the work day just minutes away for poor ol' dad (yeah, why was it again we were so late that morning??), a full on bath tub changing was, well, yeah right.

So, this poopy plot form must be revisited...like Alberto Gonzalez...Watergate...the X-files!! Because, in the words of my man Mulder, The Truth Is Out There. And we should all remember, when it comes to, as my brother-in-law would say, sodden trousers (and shirts, socks, hair, etc.) four hands are better than one.

PS. This blogging thing is fun.
