Thursday night I packed the car and took the boys down to San Luis Obispo while Matt was down in Santa Barbara for work. Grandma and GiGi looked after the boys while I worked on Friday. It was a little too windy to play outside, but they had fun nonetheless. Matt arrived after dinner that night, and Rory was very excited to "tickle tackle" Dad after missing him for two days. Tickle tackle consists of just that - tickling while being tackled. It gets a little too rough at times. I like to tell Rory that "Mommies like to play nicely."
We love SLO. The weather is gorgeous today - feels like 70 degrees! We went and played at the park right on the beach this morning. Rory had fun pretending to be a pirate on the pirate's ship, as well as going down the slides and hanging on the bars. Then we drove into downtown SLO for lunch at Firestone Grill and to find a #3 soccer ball. Tonight it's dinner at GiGi's house, which is always a good meal. Why is grandmothers just can't do wrong when it comes to cooking?!
